About the PSN

The Peace and Security Network (PSN), formerly the Peace and Security Working Group, was founded in 2013 to coordinate peacebuilding efforts among its members and reduce risks to human security in Nigeria.

The PSN brings together international agencies, donors, local and international civil society organizations, non-governmental organizations and others with a stake in peace and security in Nigeria, and is a vital networking and information-sharing platform for these actors. The PSN also helps members connect to funding, training and partnership opportunities.

Purpose

The Peace and Security Network (PSN) was founded in 2013 to coordinate peacebuilding efforts among its members and reduce risks to human security in Nigeria.

The PSN brings together international agencies, donors, local and international civil society organizations, non-governmental organizations and others with a stake in peace and security in Nigeria, and has four key mandates:

  1. To share information and conduct joint analysis;
  2. To identify critical areas in which to engage individually and collectively to promote peace and security;
  3. To provide a forum to learn lessons on what works and strengthen the capacity of its members on peace and security; and
  4. To build a community around peace and security with broadened membership, regular meetings and informal events.

The PSN is a vital networking platform for peace and security professionals in Nigeria, helping members to connect to funding, training and partnership opportunities. The PSN welcomes new members committed to its core mandates of enhancing peace and security in Nigeria.
